Elephants and Giraffes in the making!

We are very excited to announce that we will be participating in this years hand made Festival in Sitges called 'Mercat Disseny'. we'll be there next weekend so hope to see you all there!!!

Well its good to get a break from the usual bib making and do something else. I've been working on a new collection of giraffes and elephants to add to the Russian dolls in time for the Christmas rush! I will put up pics of the finished items as well as the Russian Dolls that I finished last week.
I've also added some new changing mat designs to my ever expanding collection. I will definitely be making one for Xaloc as they're super useful, and pretty of course!

Así que es bueno para conseguir un descanso de la toma de babero de costumbre y hacer algo más. He estado trabajando en una nueva colección de las jirafas y los elefantes que añadir a las muñecas rusas a tiempo para la carrera de Navidad! Voy a poner fotos de los productos terminados, así como las muñecas rusas que terminé la semana pasada.
También he añadido algunos de los nuevos diseños de cambiadora para mi colección en constante expansión. Definitivamente voy a estar haciendo una para Xaloc, ya que es súper útil, y bonito por supuesto!

Juggling baby Xaloc with work is always a battle requiring new and inventive ways to keep him entertained. One of the best ways so far is to put a load of cars for him to kick about whilst hanging about in his seat...

Fabrics and making and baby!

well posting a little late but its been a hectic week and then some! We have been fabric buying to begin our stock for Christmas. The place that we found in Barcelona was an amazing space, pretty much unchanged for a hundred years, adding to the joy of buying stock...I have posted a pic of the entrance, all wooden paneled and dappled light like something from a movie!
I'm really enjoying creating the new stock, putting together the wonderful vintage fabrics that I have collected over time with the new fabrics that I've been buying over the last month. I just love fabrics...
I feel so lucky that I have the space that I have to work. My studio is just fantastic but getting smaller by the minute as our workload increases and the space is filling up rapidly with stock and fabrics and all that the creating entails.
Last week I made several new products that, as long as the rain stops and I can take some pics, I'll post later this week.
Also on another note it looks as though I'm to indulge my vintage passion next month as I have been invited to participate in Bricklanes vintage market! More to come about that ...

Graffiti Heaven

Barcelona is well known for it's great graffiti. Over the years I have continued to capture the amazing works that are constantly popping up all over the city, evolving and then disappearing, only to be replaced by something new and exciting. The graffiti always inspires me and reminds me of why I love living so much in this city. These works are taken from my own Barrio, Poblenou.

Russian Dolls Muñecas Rusas

So work has begun to create a new collection of Russian dolls in time for Christmas! I just love all the fabric combination possibilities and all the fun that entails. The dolls will be available from this Saturday at my market stall here in Barcelona.
